Where to find each advisor's Form ADV and Form CRS, what we verify, and what we are not.
Fiduciary Check is a directory and verification service for fee-only fiduciary advisors. We are not an investment adviser, we do not manage money, and we do not provide investment, legal, or tax advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to engage any particular advisor. Any advisory relationship you enter into is between you and that advisor's firm.
Every advisor listed here is a registered investment adviser or an investment adviser representative, and each files disclosure documents with the SEC. Their Form ADV, Form CRS and firm brochure are published by the SEC, not by us. We retrieve those filings directly from the SEC and show them on the advisor's Fiduciary Check profile, alongside the key Form ADV facts we extract from them.
You can also look any advisor up yourself, and we encourage it. The SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site is the authoritative source:
Before an advisor is listed, we review their SEC and FINRA filings, read the Form ADV, and confirm the firm is fee-only and acts as a fiduciary at all times. Verification is identical for every advisor regardless of what they pay us. Listings are re-checked on an ongoing basis, and filings can change between checks, so the SEC's own record always governs.
Advisors pay us a subscription to be listed, and paid tiers appear before unpaid ones in the directory. Payment never changes the verification standard or buys an endorsement. We set this out in full on how we make money.
Client reviews on advisor profiles are submitted by clients, verified with the advisor, and published with the reviewer's disclosure responses about compensation and conflicts of interest. Advisors cannot selectively publish reviews: they show all verified reviews or none.
